Here we have Rolex’s legendary tool-watch classic, the Sea-Dweller. Even today, a water resistance rating of up to 1,220 meters is an astonishing achievement—especially considering the modest 40 mm case diameter.
Case
The case has been polished once in its lifetime and has only seen limited wear since then. The lugs remain beautifully preserved, and the finishing has been executed exceptionally well. The bracelet is full-length and still includes the original diver’s extension. Looking at the case sides, only light swirls are visible, giving the watch an overall excellent appearance and condition.
Dial
As every true Sea-Dweller should, this example comes without a Cyclops magnifier. Despite that, the date remains easy to read. The dial features the iconic white gold hour markers, and the luminous material still glows strongly. The glossy black dial is flawless and remains in outstanding condition.
Set
This is where things get especially exciting. The watch comes complete with the correct outer box, all original booklets, a Rolex service invoice from 2012, the dive chart, diver’s extension, bracelet adjustment tool, and of course the original warranty certificate dated 2002. The watch was originally sold in Venice. Simply put, this is a set that leaves nothing to be desired.
