Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 16710 "No Holes"
Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 16710 "No Holes"
The quintessential Rolex classic: the Rolex GMT-Master II, in this case the highly regarded Ref. 16710. Introduced as the successor to the 16750, it combines the unmistakable GMT-Master design with the convenience of a modern movement, sapphire crystal and quickset date function. This particular example is especially interesting as it dates from 2008 and is one of the final examples produced with the Ref. 16710.
Case
The case shows only light signs of wear, with some fine swirls and superficial scratches. This example already features the later case configuration with solid end links, distinguishing it from the earlier versions with drilled lugs and hollow end links. Overall, the case remains in excellent condition for its age.
Dial
The black dial is exceptionally well preserved and shows no noticeable discoloration. This later execution is equipped with Super-LumiNova, which still provides a strong and even afterglow. The hands are also very well preserved, with only minimal signs of oxidation.
Set & Provenance
The watch comes as a complete Full Set, including the original box, outer packaging, papers and booklets.
It was originally delivered in Vienna by Schullin in 2008. Being one of the last produced examples of the Ref. 16710, together with its Viennese provenance and complete set, makes this a particularly interesting collector's example of the final generation of this iconic GMT-Master II.
