Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570
Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570
Here we have what is arguably the classic of the neo-vintage sector: the Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570. The reason this model is so popular is easily explained by its proportions. If we look at its successor in context, there is a clear difference of 3 mm in diameter. On top of that, the design language was completely changed — and this Explorer series still had that typical Rolex charm: polished hands, a glossy dial, and fine white gold indices.
Case
The case shows fine signs of wear, but in relation to the age of the watch, this is entirely fitting. The bracelet shows slight stretch; however, the watch has been completely overhauled technically, so the model can be worn with pleasure for many more years to come.
Dial
The dial is flawless. Here we have the typical white gold indices and hands. Since this is a later version, we already have LumiNova. The luminous material on the dial therefore still glows and has not discolored.
Set
The watch comes with its original box and the warranty card, including booklets. Here we have a Spanish first delivery from Barcelona, dating from 2003. All in all, a coherent watch in a great set — and, like all other models with us, technically up to the latest standard.
