Corum Ingot

🇦🇹 Corum Ingot Watch Ref. 1901 – 10g Goldbarren

Die Corum Ingot wurde erstmals in den 1970er-Jahren vorgestellt. Anstelle klassischer Zifferblätter setzt dieses Modell auf einen integrierten Feingoldbarren, was es eher zu einem tragbaren Wertobjekt als zu einer gewöhnlichen Armbanduhr macht. Die Uhren basieren auf offiziellen Goldbarren – in diesem Fall einem 10g-Barren aus 24 Karat Gold mit entsprechender Punze.

Wir haben hier aber die seltenste Version, diese Ingot ist in Weißgold und Gelbgold verarbeitet. Diese Mischung findet man allgemein selten und zusätzlich haben wir hier auch noch ein Voll Gold Band, ebenfalls in Weiß und Gelb. Das allein macht die Uhr schon interessant, doch wir haben zusätzlich sogar noch die originale Box sowie den Garantieschein. Solch ein Set zu finden ist in der Regel nahezu unmöglich, doch wir haben es geschafft.

Gehäuse

Die hier gezeigte Version basiert auf einem 10-Gramm-Barren aus Feingold (999.9), geprägt mit dem offiziellen Gewichtsstempel („10g FINE GOLD 999.9“) und der Herstellerpunze. Das Gehäuse selbst besteht aus massivem Gold, rechteckig mit sanft abgerundeten Kanten und einer sehr flachen Bauweise. Die Maße betragen ca. 24 x 34 mm. Die Uhr verfügt über eine fein gerändelte Krone auf der rechten Seite mit einem Diamanten als Spitze.

Zifferblatt

Ein klassisches Zifferblatt ist nicht vorhanden – die Anzeige erfolgt direkt auf der polierten Goldoberfläche des Barrens. Neben der Gewichtsprägung befinden sich das Corum-Schlüssellogo sowie eine individuelle Seriennummer auf der Vorderseite. Das Design ist auf maximale Reduktion ausgelegt – keine Indexe und keine Skala.

Werk

Corum hat hier das legendäre Formwerk von Jaeger Le Coultre verbaut. Dasselbe Werk wurde viele Jahre in der Reverso genutzt und hat dadurch den Vorteil, dass etwaige Ersatzteile leicht erhältlich sind. Natürlich ist dieses mit Corum signiert und wunderschön verziert.   

Set

Die Uhr wird inklusive originaler Corum-Präsentationsbox mit Überkarton geliefert. Zusätzlich haben wir auch die originalen Papiere zur Uhr. Der Zustand ist sehr gut mit nur minimalen Tragespuren. Das Gewicht des Barrens ist klar erkennbar, die Prägung tief und scharf.

 

🇬🇧 Corum Ingot Watch Ref. 1901 – 10g Gold Bar

The Corum Ingot was first introduced in the 1970s. Rather than using a traditional dial, this model incorporates a solid gold ingot, making it more of a wearable store of value than a conventional wristwatch. The watches are built around official gold bars – in this case, a 10g bar of 24-karat gold with the appropriate hallmark.

This example, however, is the rarest version: a unique blend of white and yellow gold. Such a combination is already seldom seen, and this particular watch also comes with a full solid gold bracelet – likewise in white and yellow gold. That alone makes the piece special, but what makes it truly outstanding is the inclusion of the original box and guarantee certificate. Sets like this are almost impossible to come by – yet here it is.

Case

This version is based on a 10-gram fine gold (999.9) ingot, stamped with the official weight (“10g FINE GOLD 999.9”) and the manufacturer’s hallmark. The case is made of solid gold, rectangular in shape with gently rounded edges and an ultra-flat profile. Dimensions are approximately 24 x 34 mm. A beautifully knurled crown sits at 3 o’clock and is topped with a diamond.

Dial

There is no traditional dial – time is displayed directly on the polished gold surface of the ingot. Alongside the weight engraving, the Corum key logo and an individual serial number are featured on the front. The design is radically minimal – no indices, no scale.

Movement

A legendary movement by Jaeger-LeCoultre powers this version – the same movement used in the Reverso for many years. This not only ensures reliability, but also guarantees availability of spare parts. The movement is signed by Corum and beautifully decorated.

Set

The watch comes with its original Corum presentation box and outer carton. It also includes the original papers. Condition is excellent with only minimal signs of wear. The gold bar’s weight and stamping are deeply struck and crisply legible – a rare collector’s set in superb condition.
