The Breitling Navitimer – a true classic! This watch has been worn by numerous legends such as Scott Carpenter and Miles Davis. What we have here is the so-called “Old Navitimer.” The nickname comes not only from its proportions, but also from the printing on the dial. It features a subtle copper-toned finish that strongly resembles the early gilt dials of the Reference 806.
Case
The case is in beautiful condition, showing only light swirls and superficial scratches. The watch also comes with the original asymmetrical steel bracelet. With a diameter of 41mm, it fits comfortably on most wrists.
Dial
As mentioned above, this example still features the older-style printing, displaying a magnificent silver and copper tone. There is probably no other watch where the dial printing process is as intricate as on the Navitimer. Due to the enormous amount of numerals and minute markers, Breitling had to develop its own printing technique to achieve this level of quality.
Set
The watch comes complete with its original box and all papers. It has been carefully preserved over the years and is definitely worthy of any serious collection.
