Datograph Flyback 403.032
Datograph Flyback 403.032
A legend of modern watchmaking.
The Datograph is regarded as one of the most significant chronographs of recent decades. When A. Lange & Söhne unveiled the model in 1999, its entirely newly developed manufacture calibre set new standards in construction and finishing. The Ref. 403.032 offered here dates from 2006 and combines the classic 39mm case with one of the finest chronograph movements ever built.
Case
The 39mm case is crafted from 18-karat rose gold and impresses with its well-balanced proportions. The distinctive lug design, the finely knurled crown, and the flawlessly finished pushers all underscore the exceptional quality of manufacture. The watch is in very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of wear.
Dial
The silver solid-silver dial features the Datograph's signature layout, with an outsize date at 12 o'clock and the two chronograph subdials at 4 and 8 o'clock. Blued hands for the chronograph functions ensure clear legibility and create a beautiful contrast against the warm tone of the rose gold case.
Movement
Inside beats the legendary manually wound calibre L951.1 with flyback function. To this day, the movement is considered one of the most beautiful chronograph calibres ever made, captivating with its elaborate finishing, screwed gold chatons, hand-engraved balance cock, and classic column-wheel construction. The movement has, of course, been inspected by our watchmaker and comes with a 2-year warranty.
